Thangs to Know

Diane
Whats up everyone my name is Diane and I shoot fotos. My obsession for taking fotos began in 2002 when i picked up a basic cheap digital camera. I began shooting people around me that I cared about. Later on in life I began working in various women's shelters and studying social work. I found that with a camera I was able to capture true emotion much like the ones I was meeting at the shelter. From then I began shooting people on the street exposing the real life tragedies in our neighborhoods. In 2009 I began working as a migrant rights organizer in Phx Arizona. Shooting the everyday freedom warriors and children standing up for human rights became my focal point. These fotos are of my comadres, community members, compadres, community elders, and the people who continue to stand up for human dignity! La lucha Sigue!
